This will not be a kind, or perhaps particularly fun show tonight.
I’ll fully admit it… I’m really fuckin’ scared… and if your not, please tell me how you are staying calm in the face of a pandemic that has changed everyone’s reality, and in ways few of us were aware of, because the political expediency of our leaders trumped (so to speak) our right to know and prepare for the worse.
And yes, as a NEVER DEADBEAT DONALD person, I DO… hold him in part, responsible for aiding in the spread of this virus by playing down it’s seriousness for months, and doing jack to prepare the nation for what has come to our shores… until it was too late to get a better level of control over this.
His actions in 2018 that disbanded a department put in place to deal with just such a possibility (but by that evil Kenyan), goes to the heart of what is evil and sick about this heartless and soulless cretin.
So join us tonight, if only to enjoy our new COVID 19 jingle package, a few tunes, the usual silliness (well, mostly gallows humor tonight) and please… your live input, by E Mail or phone.
As an old guy with a sister whose health is already so compromised that this virus would end her run, I’m doubly scared. I can avoid seeing her, and perhaps ‘protect’ her by doing so… but she needs me, and I love her too much to want to fail her, and so I shall be there for her… even though I now fear passing along something I may or may not have or get… BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT WHOSE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY IS TO PROTECT WE THE PEOPLE… has so far… failed to do so.
Had this been taken seriously months ago, with supplies and medical equipment ordered and being manufactured, with thousands, no, millions of test being made, our uncertainty, and our ability to fight this dreaded curse, likely would have greatly limited it’s spread.
So, don’t expect kindness Trump fans, because you deserve none. No, I don’t hate y’all (well some of you have made me have thoughts I am not particularly comfortable with), but your continued loyalty to this scumbag, is beyond rational, logical, decent… or moral. And as most of you seem too loyal to this bum to question anything, we will all suffer the ‘new reality’ his reign is contributing to.
One last thing… a question for the MAGA minions… try telling me (live and on the air preferably), just how he has made America great again… not that you will, because you can’t… but I’m still curious to see his loyalist try to defend the indefensible.
Do whatever you can for those you love, whatever the cost. Remind them that you love them and care about them, and do your best to be there for them… as that is about all most of us can do.
